About The Game:
In the spirit of Mierle Laderman Ukeles and Tom Sawer, Maintenance Art The Game is a fun quantifying system for our efforts to make the world around us a better and more beautiful place through regular maintenance. Basically, The Game helps you enjoy the process and recognize all the benefits of cleaning, organizing, and fixing your surroundings. The Game utilizes our enjoyment of tallying points and friendly competition, to incentivize the process of beautifying and improving the spaces we occupy. The Game has bonus points and hidden treasure to add to the fun! Scores are recorded in the Hall of Fame at the end of each year to honor our efforts. All scoring is self-calculated and relies entirely upon the Honor System. You are already playing, but would you like to collect all your points and the available bonuses?
The Honor System:
All scorekeeping is self-calculated and self-recorded. All players maintain their self-respect through honesty. While this game is a system to quantify the amount of maintenance work performed by individuals, having a high score is not one of the higher goals of The Game. Players who willfully cheat, are only cheating themselves of the higher goals of The Game. Keep it fun!
Special Rules:
Tokens: Bonus tokens must be found by someone OTHER than the person who hid them to be counted in score. Tokens only apply to the task being performed at the time they are found. If you find a token you while no maintenance is being performed, no points can be collected unless you immediately perform needed maintenance where the token was found. After finding a token, you must hide it in a new location that needs maintenance.
Treasure: Treasure must be found by someone OTHER than the person who hid it to be counted in score. Treasure bonuses only apply to the task being performed at the time it is found. If you find the treasure while no maintenance is being performed, no points can be collected unless you immediately perform needed maintenance where the treasure was found. After finding the treasure, you must hide it in a new safe and dry location that badly needs maintenance. The treasure is for the most neglected places, so if you want to find it try maintaining the dirtiest, most cluttered, and broken-down parts of the farm.
Scoreboards and hall of fame: There is a dedicated chalkboard labeled: Scoreboard, for tallying points, and a dedicated chalkboard labeled: Hall of Fame, for recording the total score from your stay at Artfarm for all to see.
Scoring Chart: This chart provides the equation to calculate your score for any given task, score tasks separately. For example if you clean a room and organize it, you will score those separately and add the points together.
Initial Score: Select and multiply your score from A. B. and C. like A x B x C = I (initial score)

Bonuses: Select and multiply your score from D. E. F. G. like D x E x F x G = N (bonus)

Physical disability or injury: Self identify the amount of difficulty that your condition adds to your ability to perform maintenance on a scale of 1-3. If this does not apply, leave blank.

Token: worth the amount on the bonus point tokens found while preforming the task being scored. Most tokens are 2 bonus points.

Art Farm Treasure Chest: All bonus point tokens in chest are added together for E in the Bonuses section. For example: I found the treasure while cleaning the closet, and there were 8 bonus tokens worth 2 bonus points each inside, E = 8 x 2 of E = 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2
Streaks: When you perform the same category (clean, organize, or fix) of maintenance on a thing or place multiple times in a row uninterrupted by a maintenance from another person. For example: if you clean the Farmhouse twice, and nobody else has cleaned it, you start a streak, but if you clean the farmhouse, and somebody else cleans the bathroom next, and then you clean the Farmhouse again, no streak. Multiply I (initial score) by N (bonus) by S (streak) like I x N x S = T (total score)
Maintain an object or room three times in a row, uninterrupted x2 on 3rd maintenance and every time after until broken.
Maintain a building two times in a row, uninterrupted x3 on 2nd maintenance and every time after until broken.
Maintain the Farmhouse two times in a row, uninterrupted x4 on 2nd maintenance and every time after until broken.
Maintain the Victoria two times in a row, uninterrupted x5 on 2nd maintenance and every time after until broken.
Maintain the Barns two times in a row, uninterrupted x7 on 2nd maintenance and every time after until broken.
